HOCKEY HELMETS RECALLED BY REEBOK-CCM WASHINGTON Nearly 1,000 hockey helmets distributed by Reebok and CCM are being recalled due to head and neck injury hazards. |
|
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Tuesday they had full cooperation with Reebok-CCM Hockey U.S. Inc, of Vermont with the recall.
The helmet's chinstrap can unexpectedly disengage while in use. If that happens, the helmet can fall off posing a head and neck injury risk to consumers.
There have been no injuries reported at this time.
The recall involves RBK and CCM brand hockey helmets. Helmets included in this recall have an HECC sticker with date code JUNE - 2013. HECC stickers and model numbers are located on the back of the helmets.
The recalled helmets were sold from May 2008 through July 2008 for between $80 and $200.
Consumers should stop using the helmets and return them where they were purchased.
Models included in the recall are:
· RBK - HT8K | Colors that require inspection: black/black, black/silver, white/silver, navy, red, green, maroon and yellow (white/black and royal helmets not affected by recall)

Official EHA Traveling Warm-Ups
|
|
In an effort to promote a unified and consistent image as our teams travel to other communities, we have designed an official Edina Hockey Association Traveling Warm-Up Suit.
We encourage each team to consider offering the official EHA warm-up as an apparel option at the beginning of the season. Coaches and/or Managers should collect orders and place them with the EHA at one time.
The EHA warm-up is 2-piece hockey warm-up suit manufactured by EASTON. It features two high-quality embroidered EHA hockey hornet logo patches which adorn both the zipper front jacket and the matching warm-up pants.
The cost of the warm-up suit is only $70.00. Retail value is $110.00. So it's a great deal. We are selling the Jacket and the Pants as separates if you prefer; each piece is $35.00. Players' first or last names can be embroidered for only $5.00 for each piece.
Traveling Warm-Up Suits are in-stock and available now through the EHA. Please allow 1-2 weeks for the EHA to coordinate delivery. A printable order form, that includes sizing information, can be downloaded by clicking the following link: order form. Print the form and mail it with your check, payable to the Edina Hockey Association.

Donate Old Skates and Sticks |
|
The City of Edina is collecting ice skates and hockey sticks to be used at Lewis Park and other outdoor rinks for public use. Many of us have used skates and sticks in our homes and this is a great opportunity to share with others who can not afford these things. The drop location is Braemar Ice Arena and Edina City Hall. General Sports has generously agreed to clean up and sharpen the skates and Hockey Giant has also made donations to this program. Please consider helping us out with this wonderful project!! If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Miller at 952-944-7420 |
