Goalie participation has trended downward over the past few years in both the girls and boys programs!  Goalies are a critical component to the Edina Hockey Program's success!  To further encourage Goalie participation, the EHA is offering a 50% discount on Registration Fees for the 2007/2008 Season! The EHA has also strengthened its commitment to goalie training.  The EHA has arranged to provide specialized goaltender training for all age levels at Stauber's Goalcrease.  The Goalcrease will be hosting an Open House for all Edina Goalies on September 8th.  This will be an opportunity for both new and old goalies to meet the coaches, learn more about the training program, try out new equipment, and ask questions. GOALIE REFUNDS:   For those of you who registered your Goalie on-line and paid full price $ (due to system delay in establishing the proper discount on the web site in a timely fashion), EHA will be refunding 50% to you directly.  We have gathered the necessary details and will be issuing credits promptly via credit card.  Thanks for your patience. Goalie Training The Edina Hockey Association Board is increasing our commitment to the development of goaltenders within the Association. In doing so, we have decided to change the way we provide training to our goalies this year. We will no longer offer group goalie clinics at Braemar Arena on Sunday afternoon. Instead, we will provide individual training through Stauber's Goalcrease. The new program is available to all EHA registered goaltenders from 3rd Year/Upper Mites up through Junior Gold/U19. The new system will work as follows: If you wish to participate, you must go to Stauber's Goalcrease to sign up. You must identify yourself as a goalie within the EHA. When you sign up you will be required to pay $100. In return you will receive six (6) training sessions. These sessions will be scheduled by you when ever you like. If you wish to have additional training you may sign up for up to five (5) more sessions at the reduced price of $90 each. Training beyond these eleven (11) sessions may be purchased at full price ($110 each). The Mite training sessions will be set up as 3-to-1 goalie to coach ratio, and will include 30 minutes of dryland training before each session. All other goalies will receive 1-on-1 training without dryland.
