The CEP levels are no longer associated with age levels. It used to be you had to be level 1 for mites, 2 for squirts etc. With the advent of the age specific modules that is no longer the case.

This should help with any confusion

This below is the class you take in person or if level 3 already you recertify on line

If no CEP you must take level 1

If level 1 last year must take level 2

If level 2 last year must take level 3

If level 3 last year you must recertify at level 3 ONLINE ONLY ( You cannot recertify at level 3 in a class must do it online) you do this every 2 years, but you can only do that twice. Then you must take level 4. You can also elect to take 4 sooner.

4 and 5 are for life.

EVERYONE including levels 4 and 5 must take the appropriate age level modules.

If you have a card that says it expires in 2012, ( Please verify this on the coach certification list link on the right)  you are grandfathered in and you will not need to take the classroom part BUT WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE THE LEVEL MODULE YOU WILL BE COACHING.
