Welcome to Edina Hockey! We are excited to offer opportunities at the Bantam B1 level and below for boys hockey and 15UA level and below for girls hockey for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Qualified candidates will be offered a range of stipend and benefits based on coaching experience and level of coaches team placement.
Qualified candidates should encompass:
- Previous experience playing and/or coaching at the appropriate level is preferred
- Positive leadership and sportsmanship while teaching and mentoring your team
- Passion, high energy, and commitment
- Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc.
- Foster positive personal growth and development for all athletes
- Represent the EHA in a positive manner with other associations, referees and community
- Head coaches may bring his/her own staff or we will assemble a staff of qualified coaches around you
- Assistant coaches are encouraged to apply and be added to existing staff’s based upon individual fit
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ability to coach all aspects of hockey operations that include but are not limited to; practice planning, skill development, video review, practice and game schedule arrangements
- Ability to engage with players and families appropriately on and off-ice
- Ability to commit to 4-6 practice/games a week on average, including some weekend availability due to tournaments and games
- Participate and collaborate across EHA for player development opportunities
- Team managers, ice managers and scheduling will be coordinated for you
